I’m Justin DeAngelis, and I’ve been working in the painting and drywall trade for three decades. My journey began back in 1995 when I took a summer job as a rookie painter while still in high school. My stepfather, a seasoned painter himself, got me on the crew, and that first summer laid the foundation for everything that followed. We did things the old-school way—everything by hand, no sprayers, just brushes, rollers, ladders, and a whole lot of elbow grease. I learned the trade literally from the ground up.

Each summer, I returned to the job, refining my skills until I graduated and began working full-time, year-round. Those early years were invaluable. I gained deep experience not just in painting, but also in drywall hanging, finishing and repair, wallpaper removal, floor sanding and finishing, and a wide range of other tasks that come with working in the field. By the time I launched my own company in 2003, I had a solid understanding of the craft and a deep respect for doing things the right way.

From 2004 to 2007, I lived and worked in California, where I took the next step in growing my business. It was there that I invested in my first paint sprayer and taught myself how to use it efficiently and effectively—a turning point that expanded what I could offer my clients. Since then, I’ve become skilled in every aspect of the painting and drywall business, combining traditional techniques with modern tools to deliver top-quality results.
